Dr. Ralph Anspach
I, Ralph Anspach, escaped
Hitler's Germany in 1938 and became an American citizen while serving in the
United States Army during World War II. I received valuable training for my
future legal wars by fighting in the Israeli army during that country's War of
Independence.
Other seasoning experiences I've had, include:
-
studies at the University of Paris,
-
construction work in Morocco,
-
working for the United States Army in Frankfurt as a
secret code clerk,
-
and teaching at the University of Indonesia in
Djakarta.
I finally settled down and earned my Ph.D. in
Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1961 and have taught,
researched, and published in economics since then.
I married twice. My first wife, Ruth, helped in my
first game invention in between raising two sons. My older son, Mark, made
substantial contributions to the game inventions. My younger son, William,
triggered his father's game invention and detective career -- which is a long
story, told in my book.
William, perhaps inspired by watching the ensuing
legal wars I had unleashed, went on to Harvard Law School, and is now head of
the legal team poised to defend Anti-Monopoly, Inc. in case the makers of
Monopoly resume their bad, old ways.
I am now happily married to Silvia Anspach, without
whose loving partnership Anti-Monopoly's current projects would have been
doomed to failure.
